Meet The Founders
Marla and Khushi met at Stanford University and Future Quest was their capstone project for the Learning Design and Technology masters program

Co-founder
Khushi earned her undergraduate degrees in Data Science and Bsuiness from UC Berkeley, and later graduated from Stanford University’s MS in Learning, Design & Technology program as a Knight-Hennessy Scholar. Growing up between Kenya and the U.S., she saw firsthand how access to education and mentorship can transform a young person’s path — and she has dedicated her career to expanding that access.
She has worked across the education sector building programs that support students from first-generation and low-income backgrounds, and previously founded a nonprofit that delivers entrepreneurship education across Sub-Saharan Africa. Khushi is passionate about designing learning experiences that empower students to discover their strengths and feel confident about their futures.

Co-founder
Marla is an educator and program designer who graduated from Stanford University’s MS in Learning, Design & Technology program. As a first-generation college student and QuestBridge Scholar at USC, she experienced the impact that guidance, belonging, and opportunity can have on a student’s path — shaping her deep commitment to educational equity.
She has worked in student support, program design, and school-district partnerships to expand access to high-quality learning experiences for young people from under-resourced backgrounds. Marla has previously been a classroom teacher. Marla is driven by the belief that every student deserves the tools, mentorship, and encouragement to envision and build a future that excites them.
At Future Quest, we believe that all students can embrace their unique talents, define their own future, and positively impact the world.
